What’s been happening:

After graduation, Susan headed to NYC, where she worked as a copy editor for Self, House Beautiful and Esquire magazines. Her next stop was Alaska, working as a reporter for the Daily Sentinel in Sitka. After the birth of her son, she left Alaska to attend graduate school at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. She taught writing at Yale and journalism at Southern CT State University for more than a decade, before becoming the assistant editor of YaleGlobal Online. She now lives in the Washington, DC, area and is the author of three mystery books: Alaska Gray (St. Martin's, 1994), Interruptions (Five Star/Cengage, 2004) and Royal Escape (Five Star/Cengage, 2008). Favorite memories include furiously typing journalism assignments to meet midnight deadlines, strolling underneath the towering trees of Old Main, lots of laughter with her future husband and his roommates, early morning walks and watching rabbits meander about campus, and chats that lasted long into the night with close friends in dorm rooms on the top floor of Thompson Hall.
